Finding the Voice Within with Michael Croaker

Michael Croaker is the Head of Entertainment for Village Roadshow Theme Parks and a true inspiration.

The epitome of someone who follows their dreams, he masterminds the fun behind so many people's memorable holiday experiences and is a role model to so many who have the honour of crossing his path.

As well as being tasked with this phenomenal job, he also works as a professional actor and voice over artist. You might have caught him on the Vanish Oxi-Action ads last year, remember his voice from the Energizer commercials, or seen him in the telemovie Schapelle. You might have even caught a glimpse of him in Godzilla!

And if this doesn’t keep his days busy enough, he's also the director and facilitator of the Stand and Deliver public speaking bootcamp.

Here, he leverages his three decades of public speaking experience to provide a practical and empowering program for those wanting to enhance their personal and professional standards of communication.

Pink Hibiscus: What is your greatest achievement?

Michael: Professionally, becoming the youngest live show announcer in Sea World’s history.  It changed my life and set me on a course.

Pink Hibiscus: What advice would you give your younger self?

Michael: This too shall pass.

Pink Hibiscus: What is the greatest life lesson you have learnt? 

Michael: They kind of go together as one…The power of restraint and the importance of silence. 

Pink Hibiscus: What does your morning routine look like?

Michael: 2 hours on foot, seven days a week to catch dawn.

Pink Hibiscus: What skincare do you use on a daily basis?

Michael: I came late in mid-life to better care of the skin and now have a routine with a men’s specific product.

Pink Hibiscus: What does your evening routine look like?

Michael: Dim lights, ambient music playlist on Spotify and I’m out then pretty quickly.
