Make Your Own Natural Perfume
We receive a lot of questions about whether you can apply our essential oil blends directly to your skin to wear as perfume.
The simple answer to this question is...no.
The only essential oils you can relatively safely apply direct to the skin are Tea Tree and Lavender essential oils and, even then, they can only be applied to a topical area in small concentration.
We have the perfect solution for you though and it's super simple...and fun!
Make your own natural perfume using either our essential oil blends or your own, by following the steps below:
Important tip: always use 100% or certified organic essential oils. Always check the label before buying to make sure.
1. Pour a carrier oil (some examples are: Jojoba Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Almond Oil, Avocado Oil or Coconut Oil.) into a 10mL roller bottle (you can find these easily on eBay)
2. Drop in a max of 5 drops of your favourite essential oil blend into the bottle. This measurement is based on a 10ml bottle. Use the rule of 1% of essential oil to carrier oil if your bottle is larger.
Handy tip: there are 20 drops in 1mL of essential oil.
If that's too confusing, contact us with your bottle size and we'll work it out for you!
3. Shake, shake, shake before use.
4. Smell amazing…naturally!
